Estate Planning

We assist our clients in planning for their effective distribution of their assets in the event of death.

By drafting your will, we will ascertain that:

  • Your wishes are carried out accordingly

  • The inheritance of your children and spouse is protected

  • Instruments are used to minimize your estate and capital gains tax liability

Our role as executors is severalfold:

  • We collect all assets of the deceased estate (fixed properties, furniture, vehicles, investments, insurance policies, etc.)

  • We collect all debt against the estate and check their validity before they are settled.

  • We have to advertise certain issues in the local papers.

  • We have to administer the assets of the estate with utmost care and protect the interest of the heirs.

  • We have to report regularly to the Master of the High Court during the winding up of the estate.

  • Once the administration process is completed as prescribed by the Adminstration of Estates Act, the executor can distribute the assets.
