The international individual & family plans are ideal for people who travel internationally on a regular basis or relocate to a new country for a period of more than 6 months.
Not every country can offer the same medical benefits and health care infrastructure. It is therefore wise to retain the best coverage possible before departing to a new destination.
The plans allow you to add your partner and/or children at minimal extra cost. Most of the plans give you a lifetime membership guarantee which is important when you become older and/or develop medical conditions that would make it impossible to join a new health care scheme. Your premiums are based on age and country of residence. Your occupation or nationality does not affect your health insurance premium.
The available health options are structured modular and allow you to include additional cover, such as: out-of-hospital coverage, maternity, medication, dental, optical, medical evacuation and accident/disability benefits.
In order to maximize your claims/premium benefit, you can choose different level of deductibles (excess). A higher excess will not only reduce your health insurance premium but also reduce the amount of your administration when it comes to claiming for medical benefits.
Important points to consider when choosing your international health insurance:
- Do you have continuous cover? To change your international health insurer on a regular basis is not advisable - even if the health insurance is required for a short period only.
- Is the insurer's financial standing sound? Are they globally and independently rated?
- What about their claims reputation and customer service? Do they offer 24-7 service in several languages?
- Will you be able to retain your health plan if you relocate to another country of if you return home?
- Do you have free choice of private clinics / hospitals, medial specialists and doctors etc. when it comes to major surgery or treatment?
- Are you entitled to a single room and reimbursement at 100% of cost without any tariff binding structures?
- Do you have an eventful medical history? Do you require any chronic medication? Will the insurer honor your history and provide you with an exclusion-free health care policy?
We will assist you in comparing different international medical insurance plans and recommend the best plan for your personal requirements.
